THEMALICIOUS 2 NOW ON SALE!

Grande nouvelle! Le numéro 2 du fanzine THEMALICIOUS est en vente depuis début janvier, et est à la fois disponible sur notre boutique en ligne, (il suffit d'envoyer un mail à: boutique.themalicious@gmail.com) et à la librairie Les Mots à la Bouche, PARIS 75004.

Le thème est la mythologie,et la grande nouveauté par rapport au précédent volume, c'est qu'il compte maintenant 4 pages couleurs en son centre, avec de très belles illustrations.

Le principe du fanzine reste le même, ce sont les lecteurs qui choisissent le thème de chaque numéro, et plusieurs auteurs donnent ensuite leur vision de ce sujet.

Great news! The number 2 of the fanzine THEMALICIOUS is now on sale since the beginning of January, and is at once available on our online shop, (you just have to send an e-mail at  shop.themalicious@gmail.com) and at the bookshop Les Mots à la Bouche, PARIS  75004.

The theme is the mythology, and the big novelty  is there are now 4 color pages, with awesome illustrations.
As for the first issue, and for the next one, it belongs to the readers to choose the theme of each issue, and then several authors give then their vision of this subject.

Pour ce volume, j'ai décidé de réutiliser mon personne d'Adam Carville, sur lequel je suis en train d'écrire une histoire plus complète. Dans cette petite histoire, il est sur les traces du labyrinthe de Dédale et du Minotaure...

For this issue, I decided to use my main character, Adam Carville, here looking for the Labyrinth of Dedale and the Minotaure...

Occasional hook-up: leather fetish

 Au départ, je voulais juste dessiner un jeune gars bien gaulé, avec un côté ou peu dominant et pervers. Et je voulais aussi depuis longtemps dessiner un chaps en cuir. J'ai voulu voir ce que donnait les deux combinés... j'avais pas prévu d'y ajouter un arrière plan, mais j'ai commencé à ajouter une lumière bleue sur la peau du mec, et une chose en entrainant une autre, j'ai fait ce joli petit décor...

I first wanted to draw a very well hung, young and fresh guy, but with a perv dominant side. I also wanted to draw a leather chaps. I thought the both combined should be nice. It was not supposed to have a background, but finally, I began to add a blue light on the skin of the guy, and then, one thing ledding to another, I draw this nice background...

Adam Carville's adventure: snakes attack

It's been a while I haven't posted anything here...

This is a new illustration with Adam Carville, from my Adventure serie.
It doesn't depict a part of the main story, but an episode that I will probably never draw, but which is mentionned in the first chapter of my story: during an expedition in India, he will have to seek a ruby big as an egg, and save the son and the daughter of a maharaja.
In this adventure, he will meet one of his worst enemy, Johnston Hammet, an idle millionaire who spend his time seeking for treasures to steal, and who has a very few scruples. He is a straight guy, who seduced many women, as the daughter of the Maharaja, sat on the elephant's back. (But Adam Carville will finally tell him in the main story that she's not exactly a girl...)
So he will be a recurrent character of the main story, being a supplementary opponent to Adam Carville.

Rien de bien particulier à dire, juste deux dessins d'étude pour trouver une nouvelle tenue à Adam Carville, le héros de ma série Adventure (un jour, faudra vraiment que me décide à trouver un titre... des suggestions?)

Nothing special to say, juste two drawing to present Adam Carville's new clothes, in my Adventures story. (any suggestion of title would be welcome...)

Occasional hook-up

Il y a environ un an, fin aout 2010,  je mettais en place sur ce blog la rubrique Hunk of the week, avec pour but de poster un dessin de mec par semaine. Nous sommes maintenant en septembre, 56 semaines plus tard, et j'ai fait à peine 16  dessins pour cette rubrique. Je crois que j'ai un peu raté mon coup... la rubrique Hunk of the week deviendra donc maintenant "Occasional hook up"...

Almost one year ago, at the end of august 2010,  I set up my Hunk of the week section, which purpose was to post a drawing of guy each week. we're now in september, 54 weeks later, and I only posted 16 drawings. i think I kinda failed somehow...
so now, this section will become the "Occasional hook up"...

Themalicious fanzine : back to the first issue and preview of the 2nd

 Ca fait un petit moment que je n'avais rien posté, pour cause de vacances. Et depuis mon retour, je suis pas mal occupé par la recherche d'un emploi. Mais ça se présente bien, si tout va bien, je devrais avoir trouvé quelquechose d'ici la fin de la semaine.

Mais en attendant, je me suis remis au boulot.

Long time no see. I was in holidays, and since my return, I'm quite busy looking for a job.  but it should be done at the end of the week.

But in the meantime, I recovered in drawing.

Pour commencer, un dessin, par encore terminé, qui fait suite à une précédente illustration que j'avais faite pour un puzzle en vente à la Japan Expo, en juillet, pour le fanzine THEMALICIOUS
Je reprend donc le thème de la mafia et certains des personnages que j'ai créé pour la BD du premier numéro.
La composition finale réunira ces deux dessins sur une double page, en y ajoutant d'autres éléments.

Let's begin by a drawing, which is not finished, which follows upon a previous illustration I had made for a puzzle on sale at the Japan Expo, in July, for the fanzine THEMALICIOUS
I thus takes back the theme of the mafia and some of the characters I created for the comic of the first number.
The final composition will combine these two drawings on a double spread, by adding other elements.

Mais avant ça, pendant mes vacances, j'ai commencé à travailler sur le prochain numéro du fanzine, ayant pour thème la mythologie. Juste avant de boucler ma valise, je me suis rendu compte que j'avais plus de carnet de croquis, j'ai donc été contraint d'acheter le seul que j'ai trouvé à l'aéroport d'Athènes. 

But before that, during my holidays, I began to work on the next number of the fanzine, having for theme the mythology. Just before packing my suitcase, I realized that I had no more sketchbook, I was thus contrained to buy the only one whom I found at the airport of Athens.

et je lui attribue pour cette histoire un jeune assistant, recruté parmi ses élèves:
And I award him for this story a young assistant, recruited among his pupils:

ensemble, ils trouveront le labyrinthe du minotaure, dont ils feront la rencontre, et ils trouveront une aide dans la personne d'Icare.
Together, they'll find the minotaure's labyrinth, and after having meet this mythic creature, they will be helped by Icare.

Adventures - introduction scene

Les 6 premières pages de mon histoire "Adventures". Ces pages n'ont rien à voir avec la suite de l'histoire, elles sont juste là pour introduire mon personnage principal, Adam Deville, archéologue, aventurier, et professeur d'Histoire Ancienne à la Sorbonne.
Sur la dernière page, j'ai fait mon premier essai de création d'un environnement en 3D. Et c'est pas une réussite...
