Adventures : Greece pages 1-4 + 8

 

The 4 first pages of the second chapter of my Adventures story. The story take place in the Aegean Sea, off the isle of Santorini. I didn't draw the pages number 5-7, I will come back to them later. In those pages, Adam Deville enters the gate, and after having go through a gallery, he finds two guards protecting the entry of the city. They are not bad guys, they just want to prepare him for a ritual.

RAWHIDE WEST : BACK ALLEY RAPE

Ce dessin était sensé être une commission, mais après avoir eu l'accord sur l'esquisse, je n'ai plus eu aucune nouvelle de la part du commanditaire...

C'est un peu dommage et énervant, mais au final, je suis assez content de ce dessin, surtout qu'il m'a permis de réutiliser l'univers de Rawhide West et d'amorcer la suite de cette histoire, en présentant deux nouveaux personnages: Kendall Walton et Cueros. J'essaierai d'en dire plus sur ces deux mecs très bientôt.

This drawing was supposed to be a commission, but after having had the agreement on the sketch, I no more had news from the guy it was made for.

It is a little bit a pity and irritating, but finally, I am quite satisfied with this drawing, especially because he allowed me to reuse the universe of Rawhide West and to begin the continuation of this story, by presenting two new characters: Kendall Walton and Cueros. I shall try to say  more on these two guys very soon.

Hunk of the Week 11

 

Bon, c'est vrai que j'avais annoncé au début de cette série que je la mettrai à jour chaque semaine avec un nouveau dessin d'un mec en solo, mais finalement, je n'arrive pas à m'y tenir, tout en continuant de travailler sur mes dessins plus "ambitieux" . Mais je continue néanmoins de mettre à jour cette section quand je le peux...

Pour ce dessin, j'ai été inspiré par un mec que j'ai vu sur  le quai d'en face dans le métro samedi dernier. Bien sur, il n'était pas torse nu sous son blouson, il fait bien trop froid, mais disons que c'est ce qu'on peut appeler 

" une vue de l'artiste"...

Ok, I know I told this post will be a weekly post, but I don't manage to produce one drawing per week, + my bigger works. But I keep on drawing sometimes solo guys for this "Hunk of the Week" serie.

Here, I've been inspired by a guy I've seen last saturday on the opposite platform in the subway, and I wanted to draw something a bit like him. Well, for real, he was not shirtless, it's way too cold, let's just say it's a question of  "artistic interpretation"...

Adventures 04 - Egyptian tomb

 

Deuxième double page de la troisième partie de mon histoire "adventures", se déroulant en Egypte. Après avoir semé ses ennemies pilleurs de tombes dans les rues du vieux Caire, Adam Deville et son jeune assistant parviennent à trouver une sépulture perdue dans laquelle doivent se trouver une partie d'un talisman et des papyrus devant le mener vers un autre lieu où il pourra trouver le morceau suivant du talisman dont toutes les pièces réunies lui révèleront l'emplacement d'une civilisation première, à l'origine de toutes les mondes antiques. Mais pour obtenir le talisman, dont l'emplacement lui est révélé par son pendentif, il doit d'abord payer de sa personne auprès de la momie qui garde le tombeau.

Bien sur, on n'a encore jamais vu de papyrus sur lesquels figureraient des symboles mayas, comme sur celui-ci, mais ici, le sujet étant la recherche d'une civilisation première reliant toutes les grandes civilisation antiques, le papyrus fait le lien entre l'Egypte et les civilisations précolombiennes. Notre explorateur découvre donc sur ce papyrus que ça prochaine destination sera l'amérique du sud. Quand la momie aura fini de le besogner...

The second double-page of the third part of my story "adventures", taking place in Egypt. After having shake off his  tomb-robbers enemies in the streets of old Cairo, Adam Deville and his young assistant succeed in finding a lost tomb in which they should find papyri  and a part of a talisman which must lead him towards another place where he could find the  next piece of the talisman. All  gathered combined, the different parts   will reveal him the place of a first civilization, at the origin of all the antique worlds. But to obtain the talisman, which should be revealed to him by its pendant, he has to pay at first of his person with the mummy which keeps the grave.

Of course, we've never seen papyrus on which Mayan symbols would appear, as on this one, but here, the subject being the search for a first major civilisation that connected all the other civilisations of the ancient time,  the papyrus makes the link between Egypt and pre-Colombian civilizations. Our explorer thus discovers on this papyrus that the next destination will be the South America. When the mummy will have stopped boning him...
